FAQ

Does EPC use SAP ERP's Correction & Transport System?

Short Answer: In principle, no; you need to control "configuration" versions through different means.

Apart from the ABAP components and related potential enhancements to SAP's API (function modules or RFCs) or the native EPC transactions, EPC does not use SAP ERP's correction and transport system. When tailoring EPC to a specific client's requirements by making configuration changes in XSLT or enhancing EPC's capabilities, it is advisable to use a software version control system. Advanced tools like that (e.g. GIT or Apache Subversion) establish trees and version that can be compared and allow for straightforward control and roll-back of changes.

Don't forget to test the overall process flow each time you make substantial changes to a previously tested version.
