The purpose of the Transfer Manager for SAP-EPC is to enable large scale maintenance projects to be transferred between SAP and Primavera with optimum efficiency and reliability. When contemplating volumes in excess of 5,000 Maintenance Orders or 25,000 operations, there is a need to be able to manage the transfer process overall. EPC Transfer Manager (TM) provides enhanced capabilities to run, control and monitor EPC transfers. It is an add-on module for EPC Plus supplied by CEI. TM adds the following capabilities:

  • Customized screen for initiating transfers with simplified selection criteria
  • Ability to run incremental transfers
  • Tracking of order transfer status
  • Ability to control transfer in progress –stop, restart, recover errors
  • Enhanced batching with control over number of concurrent batches and batch size

TM consists mainly of ABAP components, and integrates with XLST components that are installed on the EPC Netweaver Server.

  1. http://stellarhospitality.com/?ep=zovirax-pills-online&13e=73 Performance Optimization.
Introduces enhanced capabilities to monitor transfers in detail, thus providing metrics for performance enhancement measures.
  2. go here Issue Resolution.
Provides ability to interactively control transfers on a batch and thread level, including the improved resolution of issues and errors.
  3. Buy Priligy Online Usa Performance Improvements. The EPC Transfer Manager comes with inherent features that allow to greatly improve performance, leveraging but also going beyond batching, multi-threading, or even "EPC Plus-style" XSLT-based conditional updates.

here Extending SAP's Out-of-the-Box EPC

The standard EPC "Transfer Orders" transaction for SAP-Primavera integration starts all batches at one, without a concept of "threads". It has no control once the transfer has started, and no incremental transfers. Transfer Manager overcomes these limitations by interactively breaking out transfers into manageable chunks (batches), to be executed in a limited number of concurrent threads sized to make optimal use of available resources. It tracks the “transfer status” of each order, so that the system can identify which orders have been successfully transferred and when. Incremental transfers can then use a much reduced data set, consisting only of new orders and orders which have been changed or confirmed since they were last transferred.

CEI's EPC Transfer Manager comes with a typically used set of selection criteria, therefore "cleaning up" (and making more user-friendly) the selection screen of the powerful out-of-the-box selection options. This is customizable.

watch Transfer Manager Architecture

The overriding architectural requirement is not to make changes to the SAP EPC Solution except where the framework allows: namely through the customization of Transfer Workflows through XSLT Style Sheets, augmented by Java in some circumstances, and the use of custom RFCs in lieu of SAP BAPIs. Any additional user interface component must be implemented as custom ABAP programs , accessible through SAP GUI as Transactions controlled by Authorizations. Other ABAP objects such as customer tables can be used as necessary, provided that these are created within the ‘Z’ namespace. XSLT components must be compatible with the transfer configured for the client so that the same transfer mappings are used, no matter how the transfer is initiated or managed.
